A girl accepted her beau's proposal of marriage but told him that he must change his religion and become Jewish.

He was most concerned at the prospect of circumcision and so asked his Jewish friend how it was for him.

He said that he could remember very little about it as he was only 8 weeks old at the time but he does remember that afterwards he was unable to walk for well over a year.
