Just to let you all know that I'm OK still up and about.

An old friend and I once climbed Mam Tor in Derbyshire (over 500m high) so he invited me to join his expedition to conquer Mont Blanc, K2 and then Everest on Saturday. So I thought I had better get checked out by my doctor.

I also had another personal issue to discuss.

Age and noisy bike has robbed me of some hearing so my discussion with the doctor was a bit difficult. A lot of medical terms, hand signals and drawings (his and mine), but I think I understood most of it.

The main outcome I took from our meeting was that I was definitely important. So that's nice to know isn't it?
